Our roots go back more than a century to the time of Commodore John Magruder, who owned and operated two Washington, D.C. neighborhood stores, one south of Chevy Chase Circle and the other in Georgetown. These stores specialized in imported products for the cosmopolitan tastes of both Washingtonians and foreign dignitaries alike, while catering to the Carriage Trade with personalized service.

Under the steady and innovative ownership and direction of our management team, Magruder's continues to deliver high quality products with friendly and personal service. With carriages long gone, Magruder's has grown beyond our two Northwest D.C. locations to serve our customers with stores in Annandale, Alexandria, Falls Church & Vienna Virginia as well as Rockville & Gaithersburg Maryland.
